Structural composition and application of components of belt conveyor

The quality of the belt conveyor depends on the price. If you choose a good quality conveyor, you can find a regular manufacturer, which is durable, saves time and cost, and concerns of users. No matter which part of the belt conveyor is, it needs the careful manufacture of the master. The belt conveyor is composed of these parts: driving device, tensioning device and direction changing device. Through the close cooperation of these parts, the belt conveyor can operate normally. 1. Driving device: the driving device of belt conveyor is composed of motor, coupling or hydraulic coupling, reducer, transmission drum, etc. the belt conveyor with inclined section shall also be equipped with brake or backstop as required.

The function of the driving device is that the driving drum transmits the traction force to the conveyor belt through friction to make it move and transport goods. Most belt conveyors are driven by single drum, but with the continuous increase of transportation volume and distance, the traction transmitted by the transmission drum is required to increase accordingly, so there are double drum and multi drum drives. Each drive drum can be equipped with one or two drive units, and the end of the drive drum shaft is connected with the drive unit with a coupling.

The drive motor generally adopts Y Series cage motor, which has the advantages of small volume, low cost and reliable operation, and is easy to realize automatic control. When the power is small (≤ 37KW), it can be driven directly through elastic coupling; When the power is large (45-315kw), it can be equipped with hydraulic coupling to make the starting stable. In the case of large power (220-800kw), the wound motor can be used, which is convenient for regulation and control, makes the long-distance belt conveyor start smoothly, and solves the problem of power balance of multi drum drive.

In addition to the cylindrical gear transmission, the reducer of modern large belt conveyor often adopts bevel gear reducer in order to reduce the transverse size of conveyor driving device.

For the mobile belt conveyor, in order to reduce the dead weight, the transmission device mostly adopts belt, chain or one-stage open gear transmission. In addition, cycloidal pinwheel reducer or electric roller can be used.

The electric drum puts the motor and reducer in the transmission drum, so it has compact structure, light weight, convenient layout and safe operation. It is suitable for humid and corrosive working conditions. The disadvantage is that the heat dissipation condition of the motor is poor and the maintenance is inconvenient.

The driving drum transmits the traction force by means of the friction between its surface and the conveyor belt. There are two kinds of transmission rollers: smooth surface and rubber surface. The rubber surface also includes flat rubber surface, herringbone pattern rubber surface (suitable for one-way operation), rhombic pattern rubber surface (suitable for two-way operation), etc. The use of rubber surface, especially patterned rubber surface, can increase the friction coefficient, and the patterned rubber surface can also prevent the conveyor belt from deviation. In the case of low power and low environmental humidity, the smooth roller is adopted; When the environment is humid, the power is large and it is easy to slip, the rubber surface roller shall be used.
